Brian Banks was sixteen years old when he was falsely accused of rape by a classmate.  At the time, he was one of the best high school football players in the country on his way to USC on a full scholarship.  The accusation led to his arrest and conviction, and instead of going to college, Brian went to prison for six years.  After his release, Brian was on parole when his former classmate admitted she fabricated her statement and Brian was innocent. Brian was exonerated and later went on to play professional football for the Atlanta Falcons as one of the youngest rookies ever to play in the NFL.  For more information about Brian’s case go to: https://californiainnocenceproject.org/read-their-stories/brian-banks/
